It was a hot day and the weights were heavy, but a good time was had by all!  Ronald Strahan jumped on a plane and flew to Austin to successfully defend his title as King of the Deadlift and two-time men's Push/Pull Champion.  Keith Minikus took a short break from weightlifting to take second place, and Luke "Pretty Boy" Goebel set a new PR of 560 in the deadlift and finished third.

In the women's division, Helia Marrs edged out Kim Beckwith to take home The Big Trophy, while Dana Parker put up some big numbers to finish third.

GrassIron would like to extend a big thanks to the competitors and fans, and a colossal thanks to a hard-working group of volunteers:  Mike, Trent, Lyle, Feu, Eric, John, Emory, Chris, Tina, Cecil, and Ernest.

And last but not least, thanks to Hyde Park Gym, DJ Casey Cuts, and Phoebe's Mud!
