Rachel decided she wanted to celebrate her 35th birthday by doing something she'd never done before...
RUN A HALF MARATHON!
And you know what makes this even more impressive? Rachel's not a runner! She's never been a runner. She stepped waaaaaaaay out of her comfort zone when she signed up for this race.
Rachel continued lifting weights twice a week, she kept going to yoga and dance class, and she slowly and methodically increased her mileage each week. She flew to Salt Lake a few days early, spent some time with her brother, and gave herself a chance to acclimate to the altitude. On race day, she felt strong and healthy and READY TO GO!
