According to the results of a before/after DEXA scan conducted by UT's Kinesiology Dept, Marci lost 2.7% bodyfat (she lost 4 pounds of fat) and gained 1.6 pounds of lean mass.  While Julie didn't have DEXA scans performed, we are very confident that her results were comparable.

Two months following her last DEXA exam, Marci sent us the following email:

"Today, I am below the April weight and only 2.5 pounds over my absolute lowest recorded weight.  This is great for me!  To have 4 months of basically maintenance within a 5-pound range might be a personal record.  In the past, I'd diet down, then regain 10 pounds or more.  In the past, the upward trend usually didn't stop before it got really bad.  It hasn't been easy, but I'm thrilled!"

Last Sunday both Marci and Julie ran the San Antoino Rock n' Roll Marathon.  Both ladies managed to set new PRs, despite reporting not having their "best running days".  Not too bad for having an "off" day!
