A few months ago, David set a goal of deadlifting 300 pounds. He completed a 6-week training cycle and missed his goal by 3 pounds. He was disappointed but not discouraged. And most importantly, he was prepared to keep doing the work.
To give his body a bit of a break and to boost his confidence, we switched gears and started a 6-week technical training cycle (so we kept the weights light and focused on technique).
